Known to be the only one in existence, I have been the proud owner of it since 2017, the car has been to some prestigious events in the four years I`ve owned her and Won the Mercedes Benz Club ‘best car on the stand` at the NEC Classic Car Show.
Since picking the car up it has driven about one mile in total, most of which on and off trailers, the car has never raced.
The car has an absolutely AMazinG sound.
I purchased the car from Martyn Marrocco, he`s reason for doing the AMG Tribute Race Car (Red Pig) was that he had always drooled over the original W109 300SEL AMG race car of 1971 and had first planned to build a replica of it, however this had been done a few times so wanted to do something different, the W123 seemed a perfect solution having the engine bay large enough to accommodate the V8 engine which the W123 was planned to have.
Martyn built the car to emulate the original as far as possible, hence the modified fuel filler and the rear arches etc.
The car has the same type steering wheel with original decals that the original AMG car had, the Luke harnesses are also the same as the original.
The car had over one thousand hours of work put into it.
The car build consists of:
560 SEL block, had 70K on clock but fully rebuilt (photos of complete build available)
